As winter is coming to a close, these are some of the questions we are hearing educators ask:

What are executive function skills, and how can I teach in ways that help my students develop them?
What factors influence our students’ ability to pay attention, focus, and remember?
How can I better support my students’ self-regulation?

To answer these questions and more, CLG has planned a new workshop, “Teaching Self-Regulation Skills: Why Executive Functioning Matters in Reading Development” as our spring offering. Participants will learn what executive function skills are, factors that both support and hinder their development, and strategies for teaching them both explicitly and implicitly that can be put into practice right away.

Workshop Structure, Logistics + Cost:

The workshop will be held at the locations listed above from 9 am - 3 pm, with an hour break for lunch. Registration fees are $175/participant, and participants receive 5 hours of CPDU credit.

Registration and payment deadline is Friday, April 12, 2024.
